The Hunger Games Joins ‘Feeding America’ and ‘World Food Programme’ To End Real Hunger

Today something very exciting happened in The Hunger Games world– Lionsgate took a stand with Feeding America to work towards ending hunger in our world:

Hunger affects nearly a billion people, more than the populations of the United States, Canada and the European Union – combined. This means 1 in every 7 people in the world will go to bed hungry tonight, many of whom are children. But together, we have the power to turn that around.

Whether young or old, male or female – hunger doesn’t discriminate. When it comes to children and hunger, the effects can be irreversible. Without the right nutrition, millions of children will never have a chance at a bright future.

That’s why the Hunger Games, the World Food Programme, and Feeding America have teamed up against hunger. For as little as $5, we can provide a child with a nutritious meal in school for an entire month. School meals mean that more kids – especially girls – are enrolled in school and stay in school, giving them the chance to build a better future for themselves and their communities.

If you’re in the US…
Your donation will be processed by WFP USA. 25% of your gift will be directed to Feeding America to support those who are food insecure (1 in 6 Americans). Your donation is tax-deductible.
If you’re outside the US…
Your donation will be processed by the World Food Programme, supporting school meals programmes all around the world. Donations are tax-deductible for residents of Canada, the Netherlands, and South Korea.
